Privacy Policy

GoDayly ("Service") is operated by HelloFriends Co., Ltd. ("Company"). We handle personal data in accordance with applicable laws, including Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. This policy covers customers (people who book), organizers (vendors), organizer staff profiles, contact and listing-proposal submitters, and other users of the Service.

1. Information we collect

Sign-up and sign-in: name, email, password (stored hashed), email OTP verification data, account role (customer, organizer, and platform roles), and the version and time of Terms and Privacy Policy acceptance.

Customer profile and bookings: phone, Kakao ID (optional), nationality, gender, date of birth, passport/ARC-related fields (optional, kept for platform administration and not shared with organizers), co-traveler details you enter, booking history and notes, and chosen payment method labels (bank transfer, KakaoPay, external, cash, etc.).

Organizers: business or organizer name, contact details, about text, logo, banner and listing media, categories, schedules, prices, age guidance, payment instructions (bank name, account number, account holder, KakaoPay ID, etc.), and subscription/plan billing-related information.

Organizer identity verification (not public): business registration number and certificate, or for individuals an ID/ARC number and photo. These are not shown on public pages or to customers.

Staff (added by organizers): name, email, phone, Kakao ID, avatar, and bio, which may appear on listings.

Contact, listing proposals, and support: name, email, phone, subject and message, attached images, and related policy details you submit.

Reviews and interactions: ratings and review text, saved places and listings, followed organizers, and service-use records such as listing views and clicks.

Automatically: access and security logs, IP address, device and browser information, cookies (such as NEXT_LOCALE for language), auth tokens in local storage, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4, with IP anonymization) usage statistics.

2. How we use information

To identify members, manage accounts and permissions, and process booking requests, confirmations, changes, and cancellations, including prefilling forms for convenience.

To display organizers' payment instructions so customers can pay organizers directly.

To verify organizers and review listings before they go public (to reduce scams and fake organizers). The Company does not collect guest payments for experiences.

To manage organizer platform subscriptions and plans (such as Pro), including payment instructions and account status.

To send email and in-app notifications (bookings, reviews, system messages, contact replies, event reminders, and similar).

To respond to inquiries and proposals, send notices, improve quality and security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

3. Retention and deletion

When you request account deletion, or otherwise withdraw, we delete personal data without undue delay except where longer retention is required by law. You may request deletion via the contact details below.

Transaction, dispute, and anti-fraud records, and organizer verification documents, are kept only as long as needed for verification, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, then deleted.

Contact and support messages may be retained as needed to respond and handle disputes.

4. Sharing and public display

When a customer requests a booking, information needed to fulfil it (such as name, contact details, guest count, and optionally Kakao ID, nationality, gender, date of birth, and co-traveler details) is shared with the relevant organizer.

Payment details an organizer publishes (bank, account number, account holder, KakaoPay ID, etc.) are shown in booking and payment instructions so customers can pay the organizer directly.

Business registration and individual ID documents are reviewed only by the Company and never shown on public organizer pages or to ordinary customers.

Staff profiles may appear on listings or organizer pages as configured by the organizer.

We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process.

5. Processors and cross-border processing

We use service providers for hosting and file storage (for example Amazon S3), transactional email (for example Amazon SES), and web analytics (Google Analytics 4).

Personal data may be processed on those providers' servers, including outside Korea. We take protective measures required under applicable law.

6. Payments and personal data

Experience payments: the Company does not collect or hold customers' payments for bookings. Customers pay organizers directly using the organizer's instructions. We do not collect customers' card numbers or raw bank-transfer proofs as payment instruments.

Organizer platform fees: when organizers purchase paid plans (such as Pro), they may transfer funds to the Company's designated account (for example KB Kookmin Bank, account holder HelloFriends Co., Ltd.). We process only what is needed to confirm payment and manage the subscription.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential: language preference (NEXT_LOCALE) and authentication tokens used to keep you signed in and secure the Service.

Analytics: in production we may use GA4 for page views and event statistics, with IP anonymization enabled.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features may not work correctly if you do.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent by contacting us using the details below.

Deletion or restriction may be limited where the law requires retention or where data is needed for an active booking or dispute.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14 without a legal guardian's consent. Where guardian consent is required, we will provide appropriate guidance.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, including password hashing, access controls, HTTPS in transit, and logging/monitoring.

Organizer verification documents and similar sensitive materials are kept out of public display and used only for review purposes.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on the Service with an effective date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice.
