Cookie Policy
GoDayly ("Service") is operated by HelloFriends Co., Ltd. ("Company"). This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on the Service, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies, such as browser local storage, that work in a comparable way.
This policy explains which ones GoDayly uses, why, and how you can control them.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Service working correctly (for example remembering your language), to keep you signed in securely, and, in production, to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
3. Cookies and similar technologies we use
Strictly necessary — NEXT_LOCALE: remembers your language preference (English or Korean) across pages. Set by GoDayly; expires after about a year or when you clear it.
Strictly necessary — gd_refresh: an HttpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in and lets the Service securely renew your login without re-entering your password. Set by GoDayly; sent only to our authentication endpoint; expires after about 30 days or when you sign out.
Functional, not a cookie — your signed-in session's short-lived access token is kept in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, so that it is not automatically sent with every request. It is cleared when you sign out or clear site data.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (_ga and related cookies set by Google): only loaded in production, used to understand page views and feature usage so we can improve the Service, with IP anonymization and other privacy safeguards enabled. Set and controlled by Google; see Google's own privacy and cookie policies for how long these last and how Google uses them.
4. Third-party cookies
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google and is the only analytics cookie we currently use; it is not loaded in development or on localhost.
When you reach checkout, our payment partner (Toss Payments) may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud.
We do not control third-party cookies; the relevant third party's own policy governs them.
5. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies in their settings, and you can set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Because NEXT_LOCALE and gd_refresh are essential to core features (remembering your language and keeping you signed in), blocking or deleting them will reset your language preference and sign you out.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change this Cookie Policy, we will post the updated version on the Service with an effective date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice.
